Food sources and premium quality compost are included with all compost tea kits. The recipes are formulated with many different ingredients so that maximum diversity can occur during the brew cycle.
All of the components for making completely natural, consistent quality compost teas are included in every kit. The food source component of each refill kit is specifically formulated for Bacterial or Fungal dominance.
Bacterial Kits are best used on annual plants and grasses. Realize the benefits of nitrogen cycling management through bacterial and protozoa activity.
Fungal Kits are for late succession perennials and woody plants. Fungi are important decomposers of high carbon organic matter and help to form macro aggregates which are critical to good soil structure. Specialized fungi associate themselves with roots to gather water and soluable nutrients in plant available forms. Under the right conditions, fungi can occupy potential infection sites which would otherwise be infected by pathogens.
Nematodes are an importang group. Our inoculum can help maximize your nutrient cycling and help out compete root and bulb feeding pests. They are ideal for making compost extracts with the highest possible range of beneficial nematodes; Predatory, bacterial and fungal feeders. If a soil test is not available, we suggest that you order the fungal kits since they contain the best diversity.
Absolutely no measuring is needed; just add the compost and food resources into the extractor and brew for 20 to 24 hours. The best results are possible when brewed with our extraction chamber.
