Eco-Lawn Top Dresser
The Eco-Lawn Top Dresser is quite simply the most versatile and maneuverable self propelled top dresser on the market. This applicator will spread compost, natural fertilizers, lime, sand, corn gluten and even salt! This rugged machine will save countless hours of labor and dramatically increase your efficiency. This top dresser was designed and developed in 1995 to respond to the needs of the organic land care professional in the horticultural and agricultural industry. The original machine produced fifteen years ago is still running strong!
Design Features
At the design level, the Eco-Lawn Applicator is based on mechanical systems drawn from much larger top dressers that are used on surfaces such as sports fields and golf courses. The advantage is that this unit is completely self propelled and highly maneuverable, even up steep and uneven grades. Adjustments to the conveyor, rotary disc, agitator and drive systems are completely user friendly and only require very basic hand tools. There are multiple grease fittings which are easily accessible to assure long bearing life. This unit will easily fit through a standard 36 inch gate. Loading and unloading the Eco-Lawn Applicator from your truck is a simple exercise.
Operation
You will quickly realize that there is no learning curve when operating the the Eco-Lawn Applicator. Operating this machine is as simple as loading the hopper with material, starting the motor, open the feeding trap and engaging the conveyor. At the bottom of the hopper, a textured conveyor transports the product to an agitator which breaks up the product as required. The product is then sent to an adjustable feeding trap and falls onto the rotary disk that evenly spreads the product onto the ground. It is the combination of these systems which allows for the efficient application of both wet and dry products. It is important to note that the moisture level of products should not exceed 65 %.
Use
The Eco-Lawn Applicator has been designed to carry out customized top dressing applications such as the restoration of existing turf or dressing newly seeded areas. All functions such as propulsion, clutch, and calibration of the adjustable feeding trap are within easy reach for the operator. Please note that the application width is determined by the type of product being used and the speed in which the propulsion system has been set ;
•With organic matter, compost, and customized mixes: from 3 to 12 feet
•For granular products such as natural fertilizers and lime: from 3 to 14 feet
•For sand and salt: from 3 to 9 feet
With a stable wheelbase and rear wheel, the Eco-lawn top dresser is easy to control; easily making 90° and 180° turns around obstacles while trimming along sidewalks and flower beds.With a 34 inch width, the Eco-lawn top dresser is well suited for both residential and commercial use.
