Solu-Kelp is a soluble extract from Ascophylum nodosum seaweed. Reconstituted Solu-Kelp provides plants with trace elements and natural growth hormones that can dramatically improve plant vigor, growth and resistance to stress related problems.
Solu-Kelp is an excellent bio-stimulant when applied as a foliar spray or soil drench. When used in conjunction with compost teas, it creates a proliferation of microbial growth which is highly beneficial to plants and soils. The end result is increased growth, enhanced fruiting and flowering, improved photosynthesis, and less need for pest and disease control measures.
Trace elements in Solu-Kelp are naturally chelated within organic compounds that are readily mineralized by plant and soil relationships. Plants can be sensitive to doses of trace elements and often there can be too much and too little available. Similar to other living plants, seaweed contains a natural balance of these elements, making it an ideal and easy to handle foliar and soil supplement.
The main benefit of using Solu-Kelp is the content growth hormones such as auxins, gibberellins and cytokinins. These hormones help plants and soil biology in many specific ways.
